A B C's of Salvation

Admit we are sinners:
  • What is sin? It's our willingness to rebel against God's standards for our life.
  • Simply put---Doing the things we know we shouldn't and not doing the things we know we should.
  • All have sinned (Romans 3:23)
  • If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8)
Believe in Jesus:
  • God saw that there was no way for us as sinners to ever be able pay our debt for sin---So, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to be the one time payment in-full for all our sins. We must believe that God cared enough for us to do that.
  • For God so loved you and I that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not die separated from God but have eternal life with Him.
Confess our sin and go a different direction:
  • We're not only going to tell Him about our sins and that we're sorry for making those choices but we're also going to walk away from those choices---in the direction of Jesus.
  • If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from our unrighteousness.
